Infection Control: Physical Design & Work Practice Controls

Full course description
Participants will learn best practices regarding physical designs, equipment, and policies they can follow, implement, or champion to reduce the spread of infection in the workplace. The program is delivered in video format with a visual PowerPoint presentation and case scenarios. The program is approximately one hour in duration. Participants must complete all assessments and videos within the course.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, pharmacists, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, fellows, medical students, nursing students, health care administrators, and other health care professionals.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After participating in this activity, clinicians will be able to:
- Identify and implement hospital designs, work practices, and device (engineering) controls to reduce health care personnel and patient exposure to potentially infectious materials.
