Author Bio:

Kathie Larke earned a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Eastern Michigan University and went on to earn a Master of Nursing Education from the University of Hartford. She was selected for Sigma Theta Tau, the nursing honor society while earning a Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Connecticut. Professor Larke has over 35 years of clinical and classroom teaching experience in the areas of medical/surgical nursing, mental health care, long term and rehabilitative nursing. She has held certification in several specialty areas and currently hold a  Certification in Nursing Education.
